Presentation Description: DNA data have been used to distinguish between native and non-native Phragmites subspecies and to identify hybrids between them. Both subspecies occur frequently in the Great Lakes region, sometimes in close proximity, yet only a few cases of hybridization have been documented. We set out to corroborate previous evidence of genetic diversity in Minnesota and Wisconsin and to survey for evidence of intersubspecific hybridization, using a genotyping-by-sequencing approach
