Habitat is the word we use to say “something lives here”. Whether you’re a 40-year-old painted turtle or a 4-year-old human, every being depends on a habitat to survive. And believe it or not, habitats rely on each other to endure! Water, food, and other resources are shared between forests, wetlands – and, yes, urban areas – to ensure all beings persevere. Do your part for World Habitat Day and protect the health of the natural habitats that keep us all sustained. Volunteer with NAP and remove threatening exotic species. Meet at the north end of Burton Rd. Workday sites have unpaved trails and require going off-trail.
