Join us for Wild Friday volunteer field sessions at Columbus County Park!
This large, rustic and rolling park features the Belle River running through it. The river, varied topography and big trees provide excellent plant and wildlife habitat and biodiversity. Join our park naturalist-invasive species specialist to learn about, restore and care for the park’s natural areas on Friday mornings. Examples of activities you’ll engage in on Wild Fridays:
• Beaver and wildlife activity monitoring
• Invasive species and habitat mapping and management
• Native tree and wildflower identification, seed collection, and planting
