Stewards’ Circle: You’ve removed invasive plants – now what?

January 9 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EST

$2.20

About The Stewards’ Circles:
A tradition for nearly 25 years, this lively, informal gathering of nature’s caretakers is open and free to all, from the curious aspirant to the seasoned professional, with no advanced registration required. If you care about our natural world and wish to connect with others on the topic generally (or on this month’s topic specifically), you’ll find your people here.

This month’s topic: You’ve removed invasive plants – now what? Interseeding and plug planting can be an effective strategy after removing invasive species to increase the diversity and abundance of native plants. We will discuss a habitat at Matthaei Botanical Gardens and its transformation from “old field” to grassland/prairie using this technique and more.

This event is free, but there is a small fee for parking. We will meet at Matthaei Botanical Gardens, Room 139.
