Stewards’ Circle – Freeman Environmental Education Center

December 12, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EST

Free

About The Stewards’ Circles:
A tradition for nearly 25 years, this lively, informal gathering of nature’s caretakers is open and free to all, from the curious aspirant to the seasoned professional, with no advanced registration required. If you care about our natural world and wish to connect with others on the topic generally (or on this month’s topic specifically), you’ll find your people here.

December’s Topic:
See where our young people are learning ways to save the world! Come to the Freeman Center and learn what’s happening in the Ann Arbor Public Schools Environmental Education program. The Freeman Environmental Center was established in 2018 in former school building in Dixboro. This forty-acre site has become a hotbed for environmental learning and naturalist activities. Dave Szczygiel and Coert Ambrosino will provide a tour of the facility and grounds and describe the many field trips and projects undertaken by students from Young 5’s to high school age. Hear plans for further development of this fascinating and important site.

Please note, the Freeman Environmental Center is located at 3540 Dixboro Lane, Ann Arbor, MI 48105 (NOT Dixboro ROAD).
