The Wild Ones Red Cedar Chapter April meeting will feature Jim Hewitt, a chapter member for over 20 years. He will give a talk about the rehabilitation of a scenic 50-acre tract of land along the Grand River which had been subject to cultivation, grazing, and logging for some 175 years. Emphasis will be on the conversion of a 20-acre field of row crops to a naturalized habitat of native grasses, wildflowers, and trees which now provides a sanctuary for many insects and birds.
