Service area: Central WI (Marathon, Wood, Portage, Juneau, Adams, Waushara, Marquette, Green Lake Counties)
About us: We are bringing together partners, landowners, and volunteers to collaborate in the fight against invasive species. We will do this through hosting educational workshops and workdays, promoting the mapping and monitoring of invasives, and working to eradicate high-priority invasives before they establish in our region. CWIP projects are funded in part by the Wisconsin DNR, Ruffed Grouse Society, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.
Participating organizations include: Schmeeckle Reserve, UW Stevens Point; North Central Conservancy Trust (NCCT); Petenwell and Castle Rock Stewards (PACRS); Freckmann Herbarium, UW Stevens Point; Golden Sands Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Council, Inc.; Central Wisconsin Nature Foundation; US Fish and Wildlife Service Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program; Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources; Green Lake County Land Conservation Department; Marquette County Land & Water Conservation Department ; Wood County Highway Department; Juneau County Land & Water Resources; Waushara County; Portage County Land + Water Conservation Committee
