Service area: Charlevoix, Antrim, Kalkaska and Emmet Counties (Michigan)
About us: The Charlevoix, Antrim, Kalkaska and Emmet Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area was established in 2015 as a joint effort between local conservation districts and various non-profits. Our mission is to to protect the natural resources, economy, and human health in Northern Lower Michigan through collaborative outreach and management of invasive species. This project was funded in part with funds from the Michigan Invasive Species Grant Program through the Departments of Natural Resources, Environmental Quality, and Agriculture and Rural Development.
Participating organizations include: Melrose Township, Elk Skegemog Lakes Association, Friends of the Jordan River, Torch Lake Protection Alliance, Torch Conservation Center, Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Paddle Antrim, Grass River Natural Area, Charlevoix Conservation District, Walloon Lake Trust and Conservancy, Antrim Conservation District, Little Traverse Conservancy, Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy, Kalkaska Conservation District, Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council, Beaver Island Wildlife Club, Beaver Island Association, Boyne City, Saint James Township, Peaine Township
