Lindsey grew up in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Through a high school level forestry class, Lindsey realized her passion for working in the outdoors. She was able to work for 2 summers for a private forester at the age of 18 and later worked for several natural resources education organizations.
In 2002 she moved to Montana to pursue a degree in Forest Resource Management from the University of Montana. Following graduation, she began a 14 year career in invasive species management. Her most recent position was with the Missoula County Weed District as their Weed Management Area Coordinator and Aquatic Invasive Species Coordinator.
Lindsey has two sons and a Michigander husband. They are excited to take in all that Michigan has to offer. She plans on eating her weight in apples this fall, and maybe a cider donut or two.
