RRWC Adopt-A-Stream: Training Day

The River Raisin Watershed Council will begin its Spring Adopt-A-Stream program with a Training Day at Adrian College. Through the Adopt-A-Stream program, we collect macroinvertebrates (river bugs) at many different sites across the River Raisin and its tributaries in order to learn about the quality of the water! This Training Day, led by professor Jim Martin, will cover the history of the program, what macroinvertebrates are, how to collect them, how to fill out the data sheets, and how to be safe in the river. You'll also be assigned a site or two for the Stream Search Day, when you actually go out to sample and collect the bugs! *You're required to attend this Training Day to participate in the Stream Search Day.*
