Woodland Restoration at Britton Woods

As the name suggests, most of County Farm Park was once agricultural land. The area that was not farmed is Britton Woods – 18 acres of lovely upland and floodplain forest.

Malletts Creek runs through Braun Nature Area and wetland plants thrive along its banks. However, exotic shrubs such as honeysuckle are threatening the biodiversity here.

Watkins Lake is home to wetland system containing sedge meadow and fen communities. We need your help in removing invasive shrubs like Autumn Olive that are encroaching on this fine ecosystem.
