Description:
Deer are native to Michigan, but when their numbers grow large, they can have outsize impacts. What impacts are deer having on trees and wildflowers in Southeast Michigan natural areas? How are they affecting the pollinators that depend on our wildflowers? And how can we monitor those impacts? We’ll discuss some key deer impacts, and ways that volunteer stewards can help monitor them, with a focus on getting your help in assessing impacts on pollinators and spring flora.
