Northwoods CWMA Garlic Mustard Hand-Pulling!

May 15, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm EDT

The NCWMA is looking for help hand-pulling garlic mustard. Garlic mustard is a biennial plant that invades forested habitats and can push out native species. This species has small seeds that can be easily transported by the soles of shoes and tires. Infestations have been popping up rapidly these last few years in yards and along trails in our region.NOTE: Feel free to work as long as you would like, but arrive at the beginning of the event. Wear hiking or mud boots, a hat, long pants, and long sleeve-shirt. Gloves are available to borrow. Bring insect repellent and water. Bring lunch and snacks if you attend all day. Contact Ramona at info@northwoodscwma.org for more information.
