Oak wilt is a growing problem of both private and public land managers. This invasive forest pest kills infested oaks and is difficult to manage. This two-part program, for the general public and practioners, will start with a presentation by Heidi Frei, DNR Parks and Recreation Division Forest Pest Specialist. Then, Nick Sanchez, Conservation Easement Stewardship Specialist for the Land Conservancy of West Michigan, will lead a hike to an oak wilt site.
