Community Tree Planting Workshop & Celebration

Appleridge Park (2899 E Clark Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48198)
Come join WCCD, ReLeaf Michigan, HRWC, and Ypsilanti Township in support of Willow Run Acres, a local non-profit building a new community garden at Appleridge Park. A brief ceremony will kick-off the event followed by ReLeaf Michigan providing guidance on bare-root tree planting for fruit and nut trees. Some equipment will be provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves, as well as shovels, buckets, and pruners/loppers if possible. Refreshments will be provided as well as a port-a-potty. Please dress for working outdoors in any weather, including closed-toe shoes. In the case of extreme weather conditions (i.e. thunder/lightning or frozen ground) the event will be rescheduled for 5/14/2022. On-site parking is limited. Preregistration required, minors must be accompanied by an adult.
