Headwaters Cluster Garlic Mustard Pulls

Looking for places to pull garlic mustard around the Headwaters Cluster? While we're working on becoming a CWMA focusing on black swallow-wort, plenty of our partners are still doing important work with garlic mustard removal. Get involved with them and joining the Stewardship Network's Garlic Mustard Challenge 2011 at one of the following workdays!

Oakland County Parks

Garlic Mustard ID, Search and Pull
April 16, Saturday

An invasive plant found in Oakland County woodlands, if Garlic Mustard is left unchecked this plant can crowd out native wildflowers and soon totally dominate the forest floor. Use a hand-held GPS (provided) to map and locate Garlic Mustard and also experience the fun of Geocaching. Includes a garlic mustard cooking demonstration. Gloves, water and plastic bags will be provided. Dress to work outdoors. Details: 248.858.0704 or 248.975.9717.
