The ThrEE County Cluster

The ThrEE County Cluster, launched in fall of 2008, serves organizations, individuals, businesses, and governments within the three counties of Shiawassee, Genesee, and Lapeer (all of which share the EE in their names). Our main goals are education and raising awareness of the impact of invasive species on our natural areas. The lands and waters of our regions of Michigan have a unique beauty that's rooted in the area's natural diversity, and we'd like to share that diversity with future generations. We want to help individuals of all levels of expertise become better stewards of our lands and waters, and we want individuals to help us by sharing their interests, questions, and needs regarding restoration and preservation work. We hope to encourage people to together and discover the special areas in their own backyards and across our three counties.

ThrEE County Cluster

As members of the ThrEE County Cluster gathered to begin planning for 2010, we realized that our first formula, established under different leadership, needed to change to better suit our changed needs. Our goals remain the same, but we are focusing now primarily on Genesee County while building closer relationship with our neighbors and natural communities in Shiawassee and Lapeer. It is our hope to increase our connection to these places and our own communities through programming that better suits the residents of our area. We are gathered around the table again, and encourage you to join us there. We're proud to say it's exciting times in the ThrEE County Cluster!
