The Stewardship Network set up a Flickr account so the clusters and people from across Michigan can see the progress of the Garlic Mustard Challenge.
You can view and download pictures by visiting our account. You can also upload your own garlic mustard event pictures. Here's how:
1. Email us for our username and password.
2. Visit the Flickr tools page and see what you will need to upload to Flickr. Many computer programs have uploading capabilities build into them (Mac's iPhoto for example). However, you may need to download and install one of the programs listed on the Flickr tools page.
If you do not want to install anything on your computer, Flickr also offers a web-based upload system that is very easy to use. They also have a second web-based basic uploader that is also very easy to use. In order to use these two web-based upload systems, you have to be logged in.
3. Make sure you name your pictures. We suggest using the cluster name, the event, and the date. Something simple so anyone who sees the picture can look at the title and know what they are looking at.
If you have a Flickr account, add us as a Flickr friend (if you like). Also feel free to add notes, tags, and other Flickr goodies to your pictures.
We are in the beginning stages of using Flickr and will gauge its usefulness by your response to it. So upload away and tell others about the page: www.flickr.com/photos/stewardshipnetwork
If you have any problems or questions, you can email us or give us a call at 734-996-3190.
Hope to see your pictures up soon!
