Southwest Corner Cluster

The Southwest Corner Cluster (SWCC) of the Stewardship Network serves organizations and individuals in the southwest region of Michigan.  Lead organizations of the SWCC include: the Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy; The Michigan Department of Natural Resources Land Owner Incentive Program, Stewardship Program, Kalamazoo Nature Center, and Fort Custer Training Center Environmental Section; and The Nature Conservancy.  These and other organizations and individuals combine resources, efforts, knowledge, and experience in order to enhance stewardship capacity and on the ground efforts at land management and restoration.

2008 heralds the third year of a Stewardship Network Southwest Corner Cluster shared field crew, SWAT.  This field crew travels to member organizations' natural areas to conduct land management, as well as host volunteer work days.  The impact of such a combined effort is immense, and serves as a model for other Stewardship Network Clusters.

To become a Participating Organization within the Southwest Corner Cluster, please click here to read our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and become one of a growing number of MOU Members.
