Pesticide Applicator Certification Study Session

Prepare for the MDARD Core Pesticide Applicators Certification exam with this review session. The 3-hour review covers the 12 chapters of the National Pesticide Applicators Certification Core Manual. Some select topics for Category 6 Right of Way will be included. We recommend participants read and study the Core and Category 6 Manuals before attending the review. John accepted the Pesticide Safety Education Program Coordinator position in August of 2010 after completing his Master’s Degree program in Integrated Pest Management with the MSU Department of Entomology. John has been a pesticide applicator in the nursery and landscape industry since 1977. He joined the MSU Institute of Agricultural Technology in 2001 as an instructor for the Lawn and Landscape Management program in Grand Rapids, and began working with the Pesticide Safety Education Program in 2005. As Pesticide Safety Education Program coordinator, John works on developing and presenting training programs for new and experienced applicators; and the revision and rewriting of the pesticide applicator certification manuals.
