Camping Education and Conservation Intern

A housing allowance will be provided to the intern to find their own housing in Detroit and a commuting allowance will be provided to subsidize a public transportation pass. Position will be based out of the Boll Family YMCA of Detroit Facility. Intern MUST accept AmeriCorps Education Award for this position.

Job Description: 

The Camping Education and Conservation Intern will assist the Sierra Club Detroit Inspiring Connections Outdoors Program, in collaboration with the Detroit Parks and Recreation Department and the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit, in developing and delivering a robust youth camping initiative at the Scout Hollow Campground in Rouge Park, Detroit’s largest park.
